LHYC Star Fleet

The Lake Hopatcong Star Fleet was founded in 1934 and is today part of the 12th District of the International Star Class. Since 1957 we have hosted our annual Tomahawk Regatta where LHYC and visiting sailors alike compete for first place and the Ernest Eagles Perpetual Trophy. Over the years the Tomahawk Regatta has seen sailors from several different countries and at times included participants and medal winners of the Olympics and Star Class World Champions. Every five years we are the hosts of the 12th District Championship which brings visitors from Seneca Lake, Lake George, Lake Sunapee, and Lake Ontario to our shores. We are a close knit group with a rich history and have one of the largest and most active Star Fleets in the United States.
