In the early days of the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club canoeing was the major “on the water” activity. There were races, canoe jousting and many other canoeing events. Many of today’s members still have canoes and kayaks. The LHYC Paddlers was begun in 2006 to reactivate this spirit, and immediately had several very successful outings. The group’s sole purpose is to give LHYC members opportunities to use their paddle powered crafts both on and off the lake. This is a recreational group focused on quiet enjoyment of the water.

Membership in LHYC Paddlers is open to all LHYC members. No dues are anticipated. Members are required to transport their craft to the site of each event. We anticipate two, or three events each season.
